Perseverance

How do you remain faithful when life gets hard? When trials, pain, and unexpected suffering visit us without an appointment, our natural instinct is often to panic, question God’s love, or isolate ourselves from others.

In the final week of our series Not Home Yet, Pastor David Kim walks us through 1 Peter 4:12–5:11, where Peter offers one last powerful exhortation to elect exiles making their way home. We are reminded that suffering does not mean God has abandoned us—we are still His beloved. By expecting the refining fire, staying connected to the flock, and entrusting our lives to the Chief Shepherd, we discover that the valley is not the end of our story. After you have suffered a little while, God Himself will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
