We know that investing matters. That’s why we put our time, energy, and resources into things that will be beneficial in the long run. Whether it’s paying outrageous costs for a college education, working long hours for a promotion, putting money into a retirement plan, or spending countless hours on our kids’ extra-curricular activities, we do these things in hopes of a future payoff. But if we’re not careful, we may not be preparing for a future that is far enough.
